The warehouse week: returns that keep an item out of the service charge

An item that reaches Tigbuy’s warehouse can still go back. For seven days after it is marked Arrived, Tigbuy accepts no-reason returns and exchanges, and an item sent back in that week never reaches a delivery request.

The seven-day policy is a request window, not blanket approval. Tigbuy lists exclusions including altered goods, missing parts, opened media and missing purchase proof. Ask support to confirm the seller’s conditions and return postage before sending an item back.

Seven days counted from Arrived

Two help articles set the window. help 46 says you can submit a return or replacement application within seven days of an item arriving at the warehouse, and that after seven days the item no longer qualifies for the no-reason policy; Tigbuy will then only try to negotiate with the seller. help 42 (“Return / exchange policy”, listed under After service) ends with the same promise in one line: the warehouse supports seven-day no-reason return or exchange.

Requests go through the order itself. Help 42 asks you to leave your return or exchange requirements in the order message, for goods that have arrived at the warehouse or been received.

Seven days is short when an item arrives on a Friday and you check your account on Wednesday. If you are waiting on something you might send back, look at the account as soon as the status changes.

Items the policy will not take back

Help 42 lists what it will not accept for return or exchange:

  • goods that have been replaced, changed, or are missing parts;
  • opened software packages, CDs, DVDs and tapes;
  • items without the original purchase proof;
  • purchases from sellers with illegal business practices, which the article ties to shopping on sites such as Taobao.

Two of these are about the item, two about the paperwork and the seller. The proof point is the one buyers rarely think about: if the seller sent no receipt or the order record is incomplete, ask support before you count on a return.

The list is about warehouse-stage returns. Problems found after a parcel reaches you follow a different route, set out at the end of this page.

Why a returned item never meets the charge

This is our reading, not a sentence Tigbuy publishes. Help 5 says the service charge is taken when warehouse items are submitted to ship. An item sent back during the warehouse week never reaches that step, so no service charge is worked out on it.

The item price and China freight you paid at the buying step are a separate matter, settled with the seller through Tigbuy. The help pages do not publish a figure for postage on a return inside China, so treat any refund as the seller’s decision until support confirms it.

Before paying a request, glance at the items it lists. A returned item should not be in it, and the service charge line should match the items that are. The fee board on this site lets you mark items as returned and watch them leave the base.

What Tigbuy looks at when an item arrives

help 67 describes the check: the warehouse looks at an item when it arrives and tries to make sure it matches the seller’s description, but only as a general check. It also warns that some electronic products may not be checked, since nobody there is trained to test devices. Items are weighed on arrival.

Tigbuy’s help centre does not say how many photos come with that check, whether extra photos can be ordered or what they would cost. We do not fill that gap with another agent’s numbers. If photos matter to a decision, ask in the order message what Tigbuy can send for that item.

The general check is the starting point of the warehouse week, not a guarantee. A size or colour mistake that a general check misses is still yours to catch inside the seven days.

How to check QC photos inside the week

When Tigbuy does send pictures of an item, a short routine helps you use the seven days well.

  1. Put the listing photos and the warehouse photos side by side and compare colour under the same light; warehouse lighting is often cooler.
  2. Read the size label and any measurement against what you ordered.
  3. Look along seams, zips and hems for loose threads, holes or marks.
  4. Count parts: laces, straps, dust bags, anything the listing promised.
  5. Decide within the week. If you are unsure, ask through the order message while the item can still go back.

This is a reading routine, not a promise about how many photos Tigbuy takes. Its value is in the timing: QC photos that arrive after day seven can still inform a negotiation with the seller, but no longer a no-reason return.

One received item, one timely decision

Review each arrival as it is recorded instead of waiting for every seller in the basket. Match the label, colour, count and visible condition to the saved option. For a fit question, request a measurement with readable tape endpoints. A general photograph cannot establish comfort, authenticity or full device function. Ask for the detail required by the decision.

If there is a mismatch, identify the item and explain the remedy you want before packing or the applicable deadline closes. Storage time and return eligibility are separate issues. After resolving the goods, decide whether to combine them for shipping. Removing a box can change both volume and protection, so do not make that choice solely to lower an estimate while a return is still being considered.

Once the week has passed

After day seven, Tigbuy can still ask a seller to take something back, but it is a negotiation, not a policy (help 46). Colour and size changes during the buying step are handled by message through My tigbuy; if the seller has already shipped and agrees to an exchange, you pay the exchange freight, according to Tigbuy’s answer on exchanging an order.

Items that stay put remain on the shelf, uncharged, inside ninety days of free storage (help 10). After that you need to extend storage or ship; the help centre does not publish the price of an extension.

The charge clock and the return clock are different. An item can be past its warehouse week and still uncharged, because it has not gone into a request yet.

Problems found after the parcel arrives

A different procedure applies once a parcel is in your hands. help 41 sets out three steps: email customer service with the order number, item names and pictures; wait while Tigbuy contacts the Chinese seller; and, if the seller accepts, send everything back to Tigbuy with the original proof, packaging and a copy of the confirmation email.

The article asks you to post returns within the seller’s own time limit and warns that an international return usually takes a month or more. Products with a quality problem after use go through the Chinese merchant’s warranty, and Tigbuy says it charges only the transport fees for that service (help 42).

Speed matters on the receiving side too: raise any problem before 72 hours have passed since delivery, backed by a video of the unboxing; that is the strictest of Tigbuy’s published deadlines.
